Bicton Place Dental Practice is a private dental practice based in the heart of Exmouth, Devon.

Our practice, which has been established since the 1940’s, is proud to have achieved The British Dental Association (BDA) 'Good Practice' Award and the 'Denplan Excel Accreditation' (which is the only practice accreditation programme recognised by The Patients Association). Both these programmes demonstrate that we are committed to providing an excellent service and achieve continual improvement.

As you may know, Bicton Place is open and has been caring for patients after the initial lockdown since mid June. Due to the continued risk posed by the Covid-19 virus and the current 2021 lockdown, the situation is still a long way from 'normal'. However, we would like to reassure you that, this time, as a primary healthcare service, dentistry is able to carry on and you are allowed to leave home to visit the dentist. It is essential for the maintenance of good health as well as helping people in a dental emergency.
As many of you will have now witnessed whilst attending the practice since June, we have additional measures in place to keep everyone safe. These measures include the booking and staggering of longer appointments for everyone attending, a limited list of treatments we can safely undertake, and an even higher level of infection prevention measures and PPE in place. We are ringing everyone prior to each appointment to confirm the situation and the patient journey is different from what it used to be. However, things are running smoothly and the new ways of working are all in place to make sure that both you and our team members are safe in our premises and we all have the best chance of staying healthy.
We ask for your continued patience as we try to tackle the problems caused by the lack of access and we manage this new and restricted way of practising dentistry.
If you have an appointment booked and are happy attending there is nothing you need do and we will be in touch to run through the COVID19 screening questions with you a few days prior to your appointment. Of course we understand if you would rather postpone coming into the practice and if you have an appointment booked but you would rather not attend for the time being please just email or call us as soon as possible and we will cancel your appointment until things settle.
